When you hear the word “coach” what comes to mind? If you would have asked me this question six years ago I would have thought about one of the many athletic coaches I had during my school years. And because I was not an “athlete” those memories would not have necessarily brought up fond remembrances! However, my opinion of coaches has greatly changed over the past several years because I BECAME A HEALTH COACH! Throughout the process of helping hundreds of clients I have come to this conclusion: We are all Coaches in one way or another.
Think about this, what is one role you have that you are passionate about?
- Is it being a parent?
- Are you a pre-K teacher?
- Are you a manager in your workplace?
- Do you have younger siblings that look to you for advice?
- Are you the primary coach for your child’s soccer team?
- Do you homeschool your children?
And the list could go on. No matter the role, others are looking to you for encouragement, knowledge, support and advice. Because we all have this opportunity within our daily roles, those that seek help in your areas of expertise will look to you.
As a Health Coach one of my favorite parts of the coaching process is when I do an initial consultation and help clients explore how improving their health would impact them and those they love. This is a powerful, powerful exercise. And an added benefit of being a Health Coach is that you are 5 times more likely to attain and maintain your health goals. WOW! That’s pretty exciting, right?
If you have a heart for helping others accomplish their goals and would like the structure to help keep you accountable to your health goals, perhaps you would be interested in taking it to the next level to pay it forward. If so, reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll schedule an informational video call to walk through the opportunity. WHAT IF this is what you’ve been looking for all along?
